As the publication of my novel approaches, I have to admit
that I've been having a difficult time keeping my head above water! Many might
say: "Well, you finished the writing long ago. So what can you possibly be
doing now?"
And I'll answer: "The writing is the easy part!"
Then comes the "marketing" aspect, which is extremely time consuming.
I've had to find potential book reviewers, manage my social networking, set up
my Goodreads Author profile, explore ways to market my book and deal with
various details. Whew!
But really the time aspect is the only negative side to it.
I've been lucky enough to meet so many wonderful book bloggers and that has
made the journey quite pleasant.
I figured that with the publication a few weeks away, now
might be the moment to share some good news: The U.S. Embassy's stand at the
Salon du Livre in Paris has invited me to be among its guests. So I will be at
the Embassy's stand representing my book at some point over the March 21-24
weekend. I will let you know of the exact date and time in the coming weeks. I
am proud to be representing not only my work but the idea of the "American
writer" here in Paris!
I also am delighted to announce that my lineup of book
reviews/interviews/guest posts is starting to take shape. Please visit
ajcimino.com for a detailed schedule. I will be updating it regularly.
The next milestone is on Monday: The cover reveal at
Traveling With T and an associated post right here on my blog.
So… that's the latest. Thanks to all of you who read my blog
and who have expressed interest in my upcoming novel!
Now that IS exciting stuff. Keep us posted!
