Earlier this month, I collaborated with website Food Me to
give you the cocktail and cake inspired by my novel “Paris, Rue des Martyrs” …
and now I’m having a look at the book from a musical point of view!
To accompany the diversity of the novel’s characters, what
could be better than an international playlist? The musicians are from
different nations and cultures, yet the themes ring true almost universally.
So what is the ideal lineup for your ears as you read
“Paris, Rue des Martyrs”?
Here is my “Paris, Rue des Martyrs” play list…
Rafael – “Going Home” by Asgeir Trausti (Iceland)
Cecile – “Woman in Chains” by Tears for Fears (U.K.)
Andre – “The Greatest” by Cat Power (U.S.)
Mira – “Brand New Me” by Alicia Keys (U.S.)
Hugo – “Something About Us” by Daft Punk (France)
Septime – “On Every Street” by Dire Straits (U.K.)
Happy listening and happy reading!
